Due to the Coronavirus the band is not rehearsing at the moment, but intends to restart when it is appropriate to do so. We are likewise uncertain of the fate of many of our planned engagements. You can still contact us through the email addresses below if you have any questions.

Cheltenham Silver Band is a fun and friendly band, playing regularly at community events in Cheltenham and further afield in Gloucestershire. Having begun life in 1937 as the Works Band at Dowty's, we are now a registered charity run by, and for, fun-loving brass players of all abilities.

Our aim is to make band membership a positive experience for all. Our range of music is possibly not what you would expect, ranging from classical to film themes and modern day chart toppers.

The band is led by a committee of playing and non-playing members. Whilst some parents find themselves also joining the band as a player, we encourage support from family members in whatever form that may take.

We welcome new players of all abilities so whether you are starting out in your musical career, picking up your instrument after a break, or an experienced player looking for a new challenge, we have a suitable seat for everyone in our Learner, Training & Main Bands.
