Cheltenham Silver Training Band has been running for many years and has successfully coached dozens of players through to the Main Band and beyond.
There are two groups, Beginners and Training Band. Beginners are given tuition until they become proficient enough to join the Training Band. The Training Band rehearses in preparation for concerts and competitions. Trainees are encouraged to join the Main Band as their playing improves further.
The Training Band meets on Fridays from 6.30 to 7.30 pm at our band room in Ullenwood Court, Leckhampton, Cheltenham. The beginners class is on Mondays from 6.45 to 7.15 pm.
Whether you are 6 or 60, Rob Folland, our Training Band MD will help you develop your playing skills - from your first blow right through to joining the Main Band. Membership of the Training Band is free for children and instruments can be provided too! So there really is no excuse!

Friday night training band will finish on July 18th and start again before the sponsored ‘blow’ on September 6th!
Members of the training band are very welcome to come along to Main Band Practices over the summer holiday!

Chepstow Band are running their summer school again and have invited us to come along. It will run from Tuesday 26th August until Thursday 28th August. Have a think about whether you would like to go along - more details very soon! Owen Farr will be taking it again and it was a lot of fun last year!
