About our Bands
At CSB we have three different groups playing at different levels. If you are interested in playing please read our welcome letter.
Our range of bands mean we can cater for different events, both formal and informal, throughout the year so please do get in touch if interested in booking the band for your event.
Main Band
The main Cheltenham Silver Band is a competition brass band with a fantastic reputation. As well as competitions and our own organised concerts the band also support the town playing at formal events such as Remembrance Day. The band can be hired for events from fetes to weddings.

Rehearsals are:
7:30pm to 9:30pm Mondays
7:30pm to 9:30pm Fridays
Training Band
The training band is a fun and informal group that aims to help improving players learn to play in a larger group. A popular band to hire for informal events such as fetes and the opening of the Cheltenham Lido!
The training band welcomes progressing players and those returning from a break in playing
Rehearsals are:
6:30pm to 7:30pm Fridays
Learner Band
With a focus on the basics the beginner band is the perfect place for children just starting out or adults wanting to pick up a new instrument. Many current band members experienced their first public performance in the Learner Band slot in our Christmas concert programme.

6:30pm to 7:15pm Mondays
